How loud is the G2/G1 Supercharger?

It's not a matter of killing it via too lean an AFR - if I remember correctly from SCAudi.com, it's the rods that give it up when you go to the higher-boost pulley. Swap out your rods, tune appropriately, and you can raise the boost without fear.

sry JC this is a 2.8 thread, there's no room for a little 1.8t.
aftercooler is basically the same thing as an intercooler except it uses liquid cooling. no it's not like N02. for example, the coolant cooling the engine is a type of aftercooler. basically, you can R&D a way to let coolant flow through the outside of the supercharger. just a thought though, you gotta be pretty skilled and have lots of machines and time to do it lol.

wow this thread blew up lol
Anyways really 5.5? 300 Hp and its 5.5?
That still seems a little slow...What RPM do you launch at?
I believe I would have to put a nice grabby clutch in with my SC so i can launch hard cause my clutch wont be able to take it.
So if i wanted to push lets say 9psi what would i have to do to tune it?
Im experienced with tuning AFRs and timing on turbos and im used to richening the mixture as i raise the boost. Is the G2s map really so lean 2 psi could kill the engine?

i don't remember his whole thread when he did it but i don't think he got any software. he's just running the s/c straight hardware. i don't think he would get more than 40 more horsies outa that thing. the g2 kit comes with bigger injectors and software though. i'm sure if it was a g2 with standalone you could def get 100hp out of it

You have to remember that its 298 CHP. Thats crank horsepower!
So you guys are right you dont get 100 HP from the super charger because we are 190 WHP right? well think of that + 15%-20% of the power lost in transmission to the wheels! We are probably around 210-220 at the crank if it really is 190 WHP. So really thats 80-90 CHP which isnt crazy considering 7psi (~10hp/psi) plus an exhaust and intake
