How loud is the G2/G1 Supercharger?
Whoever has a supercharger?
How loud is it in the cabin? Bearable? What about lets say long trips or just easy driving?
Ive seen a few videos and that thing screams.
Also some 0-60 times would be great! 1/4 mile?
Thanks in advance!

Here's a link to my G1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kC1JfAXTWgQ
The whine inside the cabin isn't too bad. It's more audible at lower speeds, but you can hardly hear it on the highway. No solid 0-60 times, but i would say 5.5 +/-

Why do you ask? its a different method and imo a much better one of mounting. The G1 can have a FMIC installed relatively easily where a G2 can't be cooled by that means. I want a G1 badly.
And to the OP do you not want to hear it? I like the whine of the supercharger gives it a very exotic feel. Just like in The Italian Job when the coopers are all driving by and you hear the whine near that big Dam or w/e it is.

From what i understand, the G1 kit was sort of developed pretty quickly when the 2.8 30v's came out. I can only speculate that the reason they put the s/c on the side of the engine to begin with was that they noticed there was a lot of space there once you removed the airbox, etc. Speculating even further, i think they noticed that once they got it in (which is a bitch btw), there had to be a better way. Thus the G2 was born. Knowing they had a solid design now, they stuck with it and now offer the G3 for B6's and later
And as mentioned, the G1 can be intercooled.....which is the only advantage to having it mount on the side of the engine. Other than that, the G1 and G2 kits are fairly comparable to one another when it comes to performance
