Default how long should an maf last??

my car seems to be running rich and i think that my maf is on its way out since this is the same thing it did 2 years ago when i replaced the maf with the one i got now.

my vag com log (block 032)
is 1.9 and -8.7

which im unsure if the readings are normal or not but the car smells like it is running rich and my power has gone to crap

Yep - either one could cause it. If you have a local AF member to you, see if you can swap MAFs with them and relog your VAG cell - if it doesn't change, chances are that the MAF isn't the problem. Much easier to diagnose that way, and cheaper too - I'd rather try that than buy a new MAF to find out it was the O2 sensors (or vice versa, which is worse - O2 sensors are a pain to change, whereas the MAF is easy).

If your maf is bad youll probably get a CEL with alean related fault code and limp mode. If you got anywhere near 100k miles just go ahead and replace your primary 02 sensor. They get real lazy and dont trigger a CEL/fault until they are shot.Get a universal Bosch sensor that splices into your existing stock harness. Its simple and youll save over $50.

Most people could take primary 02 sensor out of a 1.8t with their eyes closed. Seriously!

i replaced both 02 sensors about a year ago when i did my test pipe

if i log block 002 and put the car in second and mash the gas till redline i get a high of 142.8 on the maf reading
is that a normal reading?

My buddy replaces his about 4 months ago and now he is getting another lean code and maf code. It sucks for him to because he is low on money.
