Default How long do clutches last on A4 B5?

Hi,

I have a Audi A4 1998 1.8T, and the clutch is worn (think it only connects near end of foot release), I only have about 70Kmiles on the odometer, seems a clutch should last longer than that?

There really isn't a set miles a clutch should last since driving habits and how much you need to use the clutch during those miles (street vs fwy).

I'm over 160k miles on the original clutch. Thankfully the prior owners knew how to drive a manual. I hate changing clutches, even on a rear-drive car. Not looking forward to the eventual changeout of a quattro clutch.

130K miles and still going strong. Every Audi I test drove the clutch catches an inch b4 the end of the pedal travel.

I drive it hard, and have done a few Auto-X and track days. Few street race launches.

My stock clutch held up fine with a standard K03 chip while launching, but once I started pushing the K03 power to 250chp the stock clutch could not hold during a launch. If I had a stock clutch in now it wouldn't even hold when I hit 5psi.

I wait for the revs to fall b4 letting the clutch out during normal driving and on the raodcourse instead of doing fast and the furious shifting. I'm sorry I disagree with the purely how you drive part. I know people who drive perfect, don't rest foot on clutch etc. They've gotten 100K outta clutches their whole life then a clutch will go in 25K miles or on this dudes civic 4K. It's a lil bit of luck 2.
