For my bose I had to find a cd player with 4 rca outputs on the back or half your speakers won't work. Well so I was told.

the only part that takes time is soldering the wiring harness to the new cd player. Order the right harness for the car and it will have instructions on how to install it. Seriously it should only take an hour between soldering and finally placing it in the car. Take your time and you won't screw it up.

this info should seriously be a sticky or somethin. i feel like every week i gotta give these part numbers!
im guessing you have less than an 00 because you said you have the small bose radio (by this im assuming you mean a single din)
metra parts 99-9100 dashkit, 70-1787 harness, and 40vw53 antenna adapter. you prolly need radio removal tools as well. make sure the radio you buy has atleast two sets of rca outputs. the harness, instead of a bunch of wires for the speakers, has rca plugs that run to the stock amp. if you will be running a sub, you will need a radio with at least three sets of rca outputs.
side note, only get metra branded parts. all other parts are *****!

We don't need a sticky for this ****. We need a mandatory "newbie search" drill when each new member signs up. An intense program so they never forget

The back half of my speakers don't work after best buy installed a Kenwood kdc-mp238 in replacement of my 96 delta radio but I do not have the Bose step up, wonder if that's the problem...

it's not difficult and you can buy the european cd removal tool for about $2 at Wal-Mart. But keep in mind that you likely will not be able to get a read on your check engine light if you have an aftermaket cd player installed. I had to sell my alpine and put my original back in so I was able to get a read on my CEL
