I've got a '97 a4 quattro, and I want to replace the fuel pressure regulator as well as check the fuel filter. Can someone explain to me how to do so? Pictures would be extra helpful

 

Only way to check the fuel filter is to take it off and blow through it. Since that's not very precise, and you already have it off, just change it. If you search you'll find a few DIY's on that. Not a huge job.


What motor are you talking about?

 

Okay thanks, and what about replacing the fuel pressure regulator? It looks like I need to disconnect two vacuum lines and a clip on the top and it will just slide off the fuel rail?
