Hell yeah you can do it, and you can do it in "no" time with help. I wish I had a lift when i did mine, let alone a helper(s). Laying under a car up on jackstands for 8+ hours is not fun. I used this writeup. Only thing you should do differently than what that article states is:
-No need to remove any part of the exhaust
-Gotta take out the 2 big rear subframe bolts and brackets to lower it (the subframe) in order to slide the tranny out and down.
-There is a tiny hole in the slave cyl. boot. Make sure you get some lithium grease and spray it inside to lube the piston/shaft.
If you arent going to get your fw resurffaced or replaced, scuff it up real good to get rid of the glaze with some heavy grit sandpaper or lightly grind with a wheel.

lol wellll i called a place called evolution street and performance out of st. cloud and 'Justin' said it would be 10-11 hour job at $87 / hr = $900 or so...just for install and he said like 350 at most for the clutch but he recommended doing a clutch and flywheel conversion or something that would be 750 approx for parts so just under $2000...
ha, i REALLY hope that i can get this figured out myself

If they have access to a lift, and any amount of experience, 10-11 hours is a joke for a qualified tech. Audi techs can get it done in half that time. Of course they still charge whatever the book calls for which may well be around 10 hours, but still. I thought you had access to a lift and experienced help?

i do have access to a lift, and i will be doing this one on my (our) own BUT i just wanted to see how badly i would be raped if for some reason my buddies couldnt lend me a hand (highly unlikely) but i knew this number so i tried it and ya that would suck i would rather geta turbo upgrade for 2k or new rims/ tires / front bumper or paint or something ha, just not a fking clutch

ha, i havent had a car for a week... and i like having cinnamon toast crunch in the morning before classes and i havent been able to since i ran out, so my test drive i took to test out my new chip i went straight to piggly wiggly to grab a gallon of milk : )
(cant beat cereal in the morning!)
And i know my car is really really dirty i havent cleaned the interior once since i left for college ha, ill probably do that this weekend sometime cause dirty car pisses me off...
EDIT: i wont be doing that this weekend cause i dont want to drive my car at all unless i have to until i can get it fixed.
