i thought i'd bring this up to life. Has anyone here tried this DIY, rather waiting for the SAP to completely fail?

In short, the loud whiney noise you hear is due to aluminum rivets falling apart that holds the housing. It can easily be rebuild, as per the DIY link states

hi guys, it seems i am havin the same problem, it seems my pump goes on at start up, but at times when i shut the car off i hear the pump running it sound like a small shop vac. i also feel air movement by the front passenger egine area. i hav no egines lights on. i aslo need to mention that my thermastat reads cold 99% of the time, 1% it runs normal, would this hav anything to do with this pump issue?
