So basically to do this proper you need to spend 6-800 to get housings? or should I just look for another kit that costs more ie better quality? I was a bit weary about a 75 dollar kit with 10 dollar discount for being a part of this forum.
Look up an E46 or TSX retrofit. You normally buy the projector itself and fit it into your own housing. Look it up, see if it's something you can do, and then check prices on Ebay or stuff. Just keep in mind that really cheap stuff on Ebay is probably imitation and likely low quality.

I have no idea how those ones Nick mentions are. Look that up and see.

well they are stock halogen projectors. I just edited that. Does that make a difference?

Halogen protectors do not work well for HIDs. They have very different light dispersion characteristics.

Fair enough. Thats what I though but wasn't sure.

Thank you all for your help. I really do appreciate it. Like I said I am still a newb to this whole mod thing. So I've got a thing or two to learn.

However, unfortunately I'm going to be blinding people for about two weeks before I can afford to get some new projectors. Thank goodness I don't drive at night that often.

Thanks again!

The Audi A4/s4 for the years 1999.5-2001 and S4 for the year 1999-2001 use a the D2S Valeo Projectors

So mine just came with halogen projectors?

So would something like this be ok?
