HID problem

I can clearly see the V pattern that you mentioned. I'm afraid I don't have any answers, but I will be following this thread with great interest because that's near the top of my list of upgrades to do on my car.
Good luck, man.

thanks and yes it is quite annoying.
as you can see the lights themselves are bright as hell, but why would they do this?
because the bulbs that the lights came with were H1's and they worked fine, i just wanted the cool blue, and a little brighter.
for some reason something always has to go wrong with anything i try to do :/

could somebody post a picture of what theirs looks like when they're seated correctly?
because there is light emitting from the back of the headlight housing, and the lock that's supposed to keep them from falling out/backwards doesn't want to lock completely.
could this be my problem?

My guess is a bulb isn't seated properly. Projector lenses require that the reflected light from the projector bowl be located at a certain position (focal point), and if it's not then the light exiting the lens won't scatter properly. If the bulb's light-producing element is not in the correct spot, then the reflector bowl won't reflect light like it was intended to. Check your bulb placement and/or play around with the positioning of the bulb and see if you can get the projector to throw light out like it should.
