Default HID help

I know, I've been busy starting new threads today, but bear with me. I want to get a decent HID set for my 99.5, but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg. I also know you get what you pay for.

Just curious as to where I shoudl start my search, because google was way too much crap, and searching the forum was a big overload.

I'm also having a hard time deciding between 6K and 8K. I don't want to look too blue, but I would like to have a little hint of blue. I'm thinking 6K would probably be best.

Thanks in advance...

Damn, that vvme.com is cheap. I'm assuming you're recommending them because you've used them? Thanks for the link, and helping me confirm I really did want 6K.

6k its more of a super white 8k is more of a crystal white so its your call on what temp to get

as far as where to buy them... its up to u honestly... i bought mine from the stereo place for like 150 and they work awesome

err, 8000K (it's NOT 6K or 8K) is not "crystal white." It's clearly blue. Some people do call it crystal blue, though.

Well, now another decision to make, and those seem to be kicking my *** today. I'm looking here http://www.vvme.com/single-beam-hid-...-44_45_23.html and I'm thinking I want the 55 watt because it should, in theory, have a brighter output (lumens, not temp color). Am I completely wrong with this assumption?

i have VVME and i went with 8000k; couldn't be happier.

Here's a DIY i did for my headlights, it includes info on installing the HID's:

http://www.audifreaks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1059

The lights in my sig are the 8000k HID's in my DEPO e-codes, but it was taken with a shitty camera so its a bit washed out. The pic below is the same lighting set up at night, a couple hours after i finished installing them. If you want, i can try to take a few more pics so you can get a feel for the color of the light
