And here they are, LED auxiliaries of my own
Much appreciation is due to ImTheDevil for his highly abundant assistance with this install. You're the man, man. Got the lights installed last night after griping for a few days because lousy weather hindered attempts at installing them when they came monday. But, finally caught a break and got down to business and they're making just as big of a splash here as they did in NY when TheDevil got his installed.
Here's a couple pics, I'll follow up in a bit when it gets darker here. I didn't have my camera with me during the install last night so these pics were taken during the day today (how they look just as DRLs) Expect one or two more later once night hits
Close up
From an angle. The bumper desperately needs a paint job and a new passenger side headlight washer cover. On the plus side, take a good look at the lower center grille in this pic
And compare it to the one in this pic:
Just changing out that lower center grille made that whole front end look 5x better.
More pics soon.
Much peace,
-J

It looks great bro! No problem with the assist You probably found that once you got into it, it's pretty easy huh? Very nice job nonetheless -I like it a lot. You'll probably find that a lot of people sweat them lol but I don't blame them - it is a cool look

Yea, it was a piece of cake, I picked up a cool grabber tool thing from autozone that is 2 feet long and is a mini version of the claw on those claw games and its spring loaded, you push one end and it opens the claw on the other so I just used that to grab the wires from the lights to bring them up into the engine bay and then used it again to draw them through the ecu into the car to be wired to the switch and power post.
Here's the promised pic of them in the dark. I'm thinking its about time I started looking into getting some HIDs, the LEDs look blue haha
In all though, it really was a simple install and indeed, people are sweating them big time, just in my circle of friends that I've shown off to, they all were drooling a little so I can only image the reactions from people in passing cars or pedestrians walking down the street.

I'm trying to figure this out but the both pictures have the same lower center grille? No?
Anyway, great job on those LED's. I could only imagine how it would look on the rear view mirror when you're coming up behind someone.

As for seeing the LED's in the rear view, I was driving behind my friend the night I put them on and he called me and said we should switch cars so I can see for myself how badass they look in a rear view mirror haha

Yes, they're definitely on my list. My preference would be some black ecodes, but they're a hefty price for a college student budget. Maybe if my tax return ends up being significantly more than I am currently anticipating, I'll order a pair. As of now, I'm hoping for this tax return to be big enough to cover control arms and a speedtuning chip and the 10 mph over ticket I was fortunate enough to encounter on the freeway the other day :/
But on the subject of the HID's, what temp would you recommend? I was thinking 6300k cuz in your thread about your LED's you mentioned that was about the temp the LED's appeared to be, but should I maybe go one step higher to overpower the LED's to make them appear a little less blue?

4300k would be a typical white/yellow look with the best output. Going below 4300k would be more yellow (some people use a color lower than 4300k for fogs.) I say 6000k is just right, its a nice pure white with a tint of blue, and it will not just give you a blue haze, the light output is just fine.
