Edit: just get a whole new axle it comes with the CV joint assembly

that sucks man, but i'm almost positive that those are cv joints, unless its the wheel bearing... but if you say that it only makes noise when you turn then its CV joint, Are you sure you got the whole joint replaced not just the CV boot? cuz if you had a ripped CV boot for a while then it could have messed up the joint and it finally went after you did the boot?

cv joint pic... that little rim edge looks just like the two broken pieces if you ask me

EDIT: the top pice is the outer bit, and the bottom piece is the middle circle part

I got a whole front axle replacement for $500 and the noise happens when I put it in any gear and remove foot from clutch, a loud clicking noise from the left wheel.

I think the garage is closed so hopefully I can take it in tomorrow or something, if it ever stops snowing!

i'm honestly surprised it still moves, because i'm pretty sure that those ball bearings are the things that transmit the power from the inner part(axle) to the outer part(hub) and if half the ***** are gone it could technically spin in there freely. so take it really slow, and avoid sharp turns. and most definitely rip apart the shop that did the work.

or when you said that "neither turn" did you mean like steering turn? or neither of the front wheels rotate when you give it gas? cuz then that all makes sense due to what i just explained, cuz the open diff sends the power to the one that is spinning freely.

haha, yeah exactly what you said the wheels have no spin what so ever, just a loud clicking noise from the left wheel. Do you think I will be able to get a free replacement? because I just got my axle replaced 2 weeks ago from them and this already happened?

Did they provide the part? because if so, then they have to replace it for free, most shops warranty their work for at least 30 days and this was clearly a mechanical part failure, there is no way you can be "stupid and break it by driving retardedly" type thing.

keep us posted on how it goes with the shop. and try to get them to cover Towing to the shop.
