Help plzz..Car is jerking now and then.
My 1999 Audi a4 is jerking sometimes, only when I take off from a standstill and sometimes it dies all together while waiting at the traffic light. I have replaced the coil packs and the spark plugs. What do I do next?.I am so scared to drive . I'm also not receiving any engine lights on the dash..I'm so confused..It started happening after a 14 hour drive, could something be clogged..?
thx much appreciated

If anyone is going to be able to help, we need to know what engine you have. Also just because there is no visible engine lights does not mean there aren't any codes in the computer. Post some more information (elaborate if need be) and scan for codes and post the results.

its a AEB Engine. I will try and get the codes out from my mechanic..I don't have the device. But tmrw I am going to clean the MAF and check out the Air filter and fill some new fuel cause I filled gas at some odd station during the drive and in the manual it says bad gas could be the cause.not sure what else to do...
thanks I will post once I get the codes.

You Have to Connect a OBDII Scanner or VAG Scanner. It sounds like an Electrical Problem. If I have to Guess "TPS". MAS might do it. Not MAT. Whatever it is, I would not drive it because you could clogg up the CAT Convertor.
Just take a Deep Breath and go to Auto Zone and see if you can have them scan the Car for you.

ok I got the codes checked and its the MAF and the fuel injectors popping up! the MAF is to high or something. Now I am going to remove it somehow and try and clean the sensor with a MAF cleaner..what I don't understand is the fuel injectors..are they all related?..so if I fix the MAF the fuel problem will go, I'm not losing fuel or anything all that is normal..anyways thanks a lot for replying man!! I will post again if I have any issues..now I just need to find a DIY for a 1.8t MAF removal.
thanks a bunch
