Default Help Please

Hi all, can anyone help, i replaced the cam chain tensioner gasket and rubber bung yesterday having followed 1 of the DIYS on this forum, put everything back all perfect, go to turn the engine over its started but was very rough so i turned it off.... now the car wont start. Don't know whats happened because everything was put back and i dont know how anything on the chain could move ect... if anyone could help me would be great, thanks Lozza

PS.. i can hear everything turning over but just won't start

Did you triple check 16 rollers between timing marks? Sounds like something may be borked. Can you take the valve cover back off and snap a pic of the chain?

yes checked everything was lined up, just can't see whats happened. Ill get a pic asap, if it was out how do i get it back?

Well if it was out you may have bent some valves. Could do a compression check to make sure.

Yep, the DIY should say to hand rotate the engine a full revolution of the cam so you can recheck the spacing and link count.

Heres a pic of the chain all lines up with 16 links and the crank on the front of the engine lines up with the notchs

i have just done a compression test and the 1st and 2nd are 154 3rd and 4th are 150 dead on.

im going to change the spark plugs as thay are old and i think the battery is on its way out tbh

CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS

ALL SORTED NOW... THERE WAS A PLUG THAT WASN'T PUSHED ON ALL THE WAY
