help!... Don't know what I drained
So as my handle suggests, I'm not too bright. I was changing the oil on a 2001 A4 today- and I drained the wrong fluid.
It was the only drain plug that can be seen with the protective plastic still on the bottom of the car. It was located on a 'box' that was aprox. between the front wheels. It took an 8mm allen wrench to open, and I drained around 4 quarts. Fortunately I realized my mistake before trying to refill the car, but now I need to know what I drained and how to replace it. My guess is the differential? I'm clueless about anything thats not RWD...
Please help. It will be greatly appreciated. I can't explain how dumb I feel right now...

So I just read the procedure for replacing the transmission fluid here:
http://www.blauparts.com/audi/audi_f...on_fluid.shtml
and it appears the only tool I wouldn't have would be the pump- but that doesn't present an obstacle. I've got a screw pump kicking around the garage somewhere. Are there any other odd tools I may need to refill the tranny fluid?
