i brought a 1997 a4 2.6 v6 in july after i drove it home and left it for about an hour then it would'nt start again i have fitted new cam shaft and crankshaft sensors its also had a new ecu everything has been reprogramed and no major faults come up but it still wont start i've checked and there is spark and fuel but it still wont start can anybody help please

 

Your going to have to give more info. What codes come up when you scan it? Where there any weird things going on when you last drove it? How did you check for spark and fuel?

 

it drove fine when i got it had to stop because it over heated but then started fine again. the only fault codes that came up was about a break light dont know the code number because it was done on my brothers computer i check that fuel was going through by disconecting the injectors to see if they were all working and checked spark by using spark plug tester

 

When you say it has a new ECU, was that before you bought it or has that been changed as an attempt to get it to start?

 

it was changed after i brought it in attemp to get it starded

 

Compression? When it started after you brought it home, did it run well?

 

it never started again after i got home but had compression checked and they said it was ok it just seems like there is not enough power to crank it over just seems slow at cranking over
