Exclamation headlights, wipers, fog switch, climate control, turn signals not working

My headlights, fog switch, climate control, turn signals not working. Also, the temp in the instrument cluster isn't displaying either.

However the parking lights, brake lights, hazards and radio all work and the car runs fine. 1999 a4 2.8

I know it could be the load reduction relay so I ordered one. If it isn't not that, can you guys offer any suggestions as to what else it could be?

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm assuming you have already checked each fuse in the fuse panel on the driver's side?

Thank you for that link. The ignition should be here tomorrow, so i'll post back if that is actually the issue.

I had the same issue. I changed out the ignition switch and it ended up being the load reduction. I carry a few in my car just in-case it happens again.

so, after picking up an ignition switch and taking apart the steering column again, it was the switch. I also sandpapered the headlight switch contacts since they were looking very worn.

here is a pic of the orginal ignition switch. I circled in red the contact that had shorted.

if you ride around with your stock fog lights on that will cause the ignition switch to go out all the time.
