Headlights Switch is melting...
My headlight switch has been giving me problems. After taking the steering wheel off and getting to the inner working park of the switch, I found that the lower platic part that houses the copper contacts had obviously heated up and melted to the point that the copper points were no longer aligning properly to conduct the electricitry that powers the lights.
After getting a replacement part from a junkyard the lights were back to working order.... for about 2 weeks. Now it has melted as well... bringing me back to square one... the question is...
Why the hell is this part heating up so much and how do I fix it?
Thanks!
