So I got new projector headlights today from ebay, I bought them used and got a pretty good deal, I installed them today as well. I finished installing them about 8 pm when it's dark here and I turn my lights on and noticed that they were pointed really far down so i can only see 10 feet in front of my car without my brights on. I tried adjusting them but the brightest light being emitted from the bulb is still pointing at the ground and theres a small light that moved up as a result of me trying to adjust the headlight. I don't know what to do, I have to drive with my brights on all the time to see at all.

 

You can try loosening the screws and adjusting the position of the entire headlight housing.

 

I'll give it a try but doesn't sound too promising, I'm going to mess with it tomorrow after work, other wise i'm sending them back to the guy.

 

You know that of the two adjuster screws on the back top corners of the housings, the ones for vertical aiming are the two that are closest to the center of the car, right? At least they are on mine - I found that out after messing with the other one, which aims the lights horizontally.

 

I'll have to check it out NY, thanks for the heads up. Hopefully I can get it to work

My stepdad was just adjusting them and he twisted it to hard and the little gear jumped a tooth and now it doesn't catch so he's gotta take my right light apart and glue it. But ya I found another adjuster screw hidden down in a hole in the top of my bumper so that should do the trick. Thanks for the input guys, much appreciated.
