If you want to have HIDs in your headlights its all plus and play. I just installed mine and it was as easy as 1-2-3. If you want your fogs HIDed then im pretty sure its Plus and Play also. PM me if you want some help with it. Like i said i just put mine in last night and they look sweet.
ok so you know how i think its the 1999.5 B5 A4 has projectors and fog lights under the lights separated from the regular light housing, thats what i would want to do, but if HIDs work find in the regular NON-PROJECTOR lights, as you say i would def just do that.....pics please. also what temp did you go with? i was thinking either 4300k or 5000k

Ohh i gotcya! Yeah pictures will be posted tonight after i get out of work and i used 6000K
im actually thinking buying 8000k bulbs and just have them around in case i want to switch to deeper blue color. Also i would def go ahead and buy the HID kit and install it but save some money and def buy the projectors. Im thinking about getting them next week or week after i pay my rent.

Cool

but they will work fine and make a big difference with out them for now, so if i run HID in regular lights lets say for a month until i decide i want to get the projectors i will be fine?

Yes you will - even with non-projector lights, you'll still have a nice increase in visibility. A lot of the time, putting HIDs into a reflector housing can scatter the light wildly and potentially blind oncoming cars, but before I got my projectors, I had no problems with people high-beaming me with HIDs in the reflector lights. And by "fine", if you mean will you damage something, the answer is no - HIDs will function well in the OEM housings without hurting anything.
