Head gasket
went to check my oil today and had white residue on the dipstick which can only mean one thing HEAD GASKET. Being that I need a new one I was gonna order one from either pure or ecs but neither had one(only I was just looking in the wrong spots). Where can I go to get a head gasket. I have a 2.8 fwd

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion of a bad head gasket because you see residue. Find out exactly where it's leaking (and if it's leaking). Get the car to operating temp and perform a leakdown and compression test, you can borrow the tools from most local AutoZones or Advanced Auto Parts. Additionally, there is a tool available to measure hydrocarbons in the coolant to detect a bad head gasket.
Pressure test the coolant system to check the oil cooler. It's a lot cheaper and easier to replace the oil cooler or oil cooler gaskets than a head gasket.
Some residue on the dipstick or oil cap is "normal" due to moisture in the oil and it's more common on Audi V6 than 1.8T. Be 100% sure it's the head gasket before you spend all of that money.

I starting pulling things a part on my engine today and I was pulling spark plugs I saw that I have a lot of oil in my spark plugs holes. So I ordered new valve cover gaskets. And I was told by my teacher that an easy way to check the head gasket is to unscrew the oil drain plug very lightly and if it is blown antifreeze will come out of the drain before oil does. SO I am pretty sure it is not a head gasket
