what is "drone"??

 

Like resonance. Huming

 

kind of difficult to explain over the internet. Sometimes with certain exhaust setups, while you're cruising say at highway speeds and the RPM's are low, you still get a really annoying droning sound because of the lack of a resonator. I'll see if i can find a video clip with decent sound.

This is the best vid i could find, though still not a very good example. This is a dude in a B6 A4 with a BT setup running an open downpipe. Couple times in the vid when he's not accelerating you can here a really irritating resonance. Thats drone.

well since im guessing im not gonna be able to get the remus for that cheap... what is the other exhaust everyone gets like the 1462 or something?? i dont remember if its flowmaster or magnaflow lol

 

i just recorded a video and im uploading it right now will post a link once its done. its a magnaflow 14815 with stock piping (only the muffler was replaced)
