Default Hazard switch replacement part, help

Hello everyone, My hazard switch broke in my car at i tried replacing it with a part from older audi. The harness for the plug is the same but it keeps blowing my fuse #2(the turning fuse). And nothing works, no hazard and no signal lights.

the old hazard switch (yellow sticker) (8D0 941 509 E)
the replacement hazard switch (white sticker) (4A0 941 509)

So i should i order another switch just like the one with yellow sticker? or the other part should work ok?

Thanks

The fact that the white sticker switch keeps blowing fuses and is a different shape should lead you to believe it is not the correct switch.

I would go ahead and order a new switch with the same part number as the one that was originally in your car, or better yet find someone parting out their car and save a lot of money. You shouldn't pay much more than $5, $10 max for a switch from a part out car. A new one might set you back +$50.

The dealership should be a resource of last resort. For something like this, a part out is your best bet.

Good luck.
