Chip tuning at this point is childsplay when it comes to a k03 tune. If there is a conflict with any of the working parameters, the ecu will tell you. But the point is, no one ever brought up Ebay, or Porsches, chip configuration, etc. You just sort of showed up and started talking as if there was a completely different conversation and topic going on..........?
As long as A/F ratio and timing is on mark, there should be no issues at all. It takes a hell of a lot more than a k03 chip to put any of the working mechanical parts under too much stress. A k03 can boost 20-23 psi daily for tens of thousands of miles without issues.

NO? The thread creator talked about his chipped Audi and that he would recommend it, I referred to that, by saying that not just any chip will do the work and that caution is important.
It's a fact that the stock engine runs with an optimized ecu. Any change will void the warranty not without a reason. It could indeed run for thousands of miles... I know that, when correctly done, a chipped engine could run well.

Well, I believe that SpeedTuning did a great job and did everything correctly... Haven't had any issues with it, no CELs or anything. I do remember that 01Afour wasn't happy with his tune, and maybe one or two more guys that spoke up about it since I have been using this forum. For the money, I would definitely recommend the SpeedTuning chip.

I have APR software and I would highly recommend them for all tuning needs.

Who the hell has a B5 under warranty anyway?..............

The point is you went off on a chip rant when the original topic is about how some dude dreamed about his car and got a woody... I brought up the topic of speedtuning, and you made suggestive remarks about ebay and trying to act like we have porsches... Makes no sense buddy.

This isn't about eBay or Porsche at all... I just wanted to raise some awareness about chipping in general. Sorry to be this direct - but it seems to me that you are oblivious to the side effects.
A sharpened camshaft gives you more hp, too... but nothing comes without some negatives. That's all I wanted to say.
