Gurgling noice / Fuel pump going out on me?

First I've ever heard of it - my car hasn't ever made the noise, and no one I know has had it either. Weird problem, if it is in fact a problem.

Sounds like it's the check valve. Seen this issue on other cars (944's, older Veedubs). Find a used fuel pump and take the front fittings off of it. The check valve is usually in that little brass housing.
