Yeah the guy was saying to get 550cc injectors, which I figured wouldn't change much for price. I'm currently waiting on an estimate from him right now. He's telling me my 2.5" exhaust will kill like 20-30hp since it isn't 3"(I just bought the damn exhaust too). Fact or fiction? Also, I really want to hold off on the FMIC for a little while if I can but not sure if bad things will happen if I do. Ideas guys?

i dont think 2.5 inch exhaust is too small. it might hurt a bit but 20-30 hp? i dont think so. pretty much all big turbo guys run 3 inch exhaust. i do. and when i put in a much larger turbo than i already run ill stick with 3 inch.

Okay because I really don't want anything larger because I actually think it is around 2.3" and if it got any louder I would not like it at all. Hopefully he comes back to me with a part list summary tomorrow since he didn't get to it today.

there is zero chance a 2.5" exhaust will cost you 30hp vs. 3" on a GTRS sized turbo. On a bigger turbo, absolutely, but not a GTRS. Show me dyno charts that prove that and I'll delete my AF account lol

I hate to be that guy and I dont want you to delete your account! But... a lot of people have found big increase in going from 2.5" to 3" on this size turbo or a little larger.

034motorsports swears by it and even has a couple dyno charts..

My car with a GT2871R eliminator is making only 235whp

Also "ZimbutheMonkey" on audzine saw about 800 rpm sooner spool up when he made the upgrade from 2.5 to 3 on a gtrs

Well that is interesting. I guess I will find out when I do the upgrade. Still waiting on the guy from the shop to send me a list of parts and prices so I can figure everything out. I don't know what's taking him so long.

So I finally finished talking with the guy from my local shop and here are the results:
Eliminator Kit: 1595.00 but price matched to ecode for 1500
550 injectors: 49.95ea(Bosche)
Turbo inlet kit: 259.00
Then FMIC 800-1100
And stage 3 tuning ~500 since I already have stage 1

What do you guys think?

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me! $500 for a tune isn't bad at all.

Great! Also, he said that this TIP isn't the right size and said that it was just stock. I don't believe him. What do you guys say?
