GT2X Eliminator

GT2X Eliminator
I was wondering if anybody has the numbers for this turbo with just the hardware kit, injectors and tune? I am mainly looking for the torque numbers because of my transmission. My main goal is to make over 200 awhp I'm not looking to be super fast or anything I just want decent power. Or would the gtrs make less torque and be better for the tip transmission?

Yeah thats what I heard thanks I will go with the gtrs then. One more question on atps website they have a dyno graph of them running this kit with stock everthing besides the inlet pipe, injecors and tune even the side intercooler and exhaust are stock and its still putting down good numbers is this a good idea or is it neccessary to change the cat, manifold etc?

dont trust ATP's dyno's. with the stock manifold and cat your not gona be making the numbers they claim. you'll probly gain ~50hp by swapping those 2 parts. its possible to run it with the stock intercooler if your not running that much boost so you dont need that right away. after the bare essentials of the kit, the first thing i would upgrade is the exhaust manifold, then 3" dp to 2.5" custom exhaust, then a fmic.

yeah you can run it on the stock manifold and cat until you have money to upgrade them.
not necessarily. with a full turbo, it relocates it to a sidemount, so you have to fabricate an intake and dp. and the elim setups are making just as much power as the full setups w/ b6's, so the same should apply to us as well. they are a lot better than people used to give them credit for, and seem to be more reliable as well. perfect for DD's, and people who have emissions.

If you upgrade the exhaust manifold theres not much point in getting an elim kit. I would serisously reccomend either a bigger SMIC or a FMIC.

Ya, I forgot about most of the custom parts needed to relocate the turbo. GTRS would be my choice over the gt2x, not that it's a bad turbo but it's not ball bearing and only oil cooled. I think the gtrs kit is about $200 more.

neither are any T-series turbo's, but they work just fine. its all about what you want. if you want stock like spool but be able to carry power to redline a gt2x is perfect for you, i would get that over a k04 any day of the week. but if you want more power and only slightly more spool time, the gtrs is a much better choice, it will make better power.
the only downside to non-water cooled turbo's is you gotta give them a little extra time to cool down.
