It took me lots of adjusting. I found it took a long time to get to the "sweet spot" so be careful that you don't break the plastic gears.

I was just being really careful plus my cutoff wheels were crap second side took me all of 15 mins because I knew how much I wanted to cut. Just finished 20 mins ago
