greetings from a new member
I just wanted to take my time and say hello to all of you members here. I just purchased my 2000 audi a4 1.8t a week ago and am in love with it.
I did not have an a4 in mind when I started looking for a car to buy, but the moment I test drove one, I fell in love with it and knew that I cannot settle for anything else than the timeless a4. the car has 70000 miles, it is in pristine cosmetic condition and I am willing to find and fix every single flaw that I can find under the hood, since I want my a4 to run perfectly. By the way, I'm not a mechanic nor do I have any mechanical experience, but I am mechanically inclined and a do-it-yourself type of guy. I've spent the last couple of days on this forum, researching about the car, and one thing is for sure: dealerships tend to charge you through the roof when it comes to maintenance and repairs.
If you guys don't mind, I will be asking for pieces of advice here and there, and I will try to give back as much as I can to this wonderful b5 a4 owners community. I am from the nyc area and I wouldn't mind making new friends and hanging out with fellow audi owners.
So I salute all of you proud b5 owners! Glad to be part of this great forum. Happy driving!

quattro it is, I wouldn't have loved it like I do if it wasn't a quattro. the priority is to fix any flaws, and I will think about mods later. I was doing 90 yesterday and I felt glued to the ground. the car is really fast for a 1.8t, and the handling is incredible. can't wait to drive it again. I had to go to the store two blocks from where I live, I took the car out, and I came back 30 minutes later. I had to take it on the highway again. that's how bad i got it. lol
