im always driving 80 without knowing in my Audi, most areas i driver are 65-70mph. I'm extremely paranoid I'll get pulled over because of accidental speeding...

i mean don't get me wrong, there are many times it IS intentional

Yeah they do that **** all the time. And the State Troopers in VA are real ball busters on top of it.

Yep, and he was in some bullshit ancient cherokee with like a blue light in the dash. I swear I thought I was getting pulled over by some fireman in his personal vehicle lol. The guy gets out, and he's a giant black dude in full trooper uniform including the dumb hat lol.

Recent legal precedent shows that unless you were actually passing someone or otherwise truly being reckless, you can't be charged with reckless driving based on just speed.

^This. According to the letter of the law in VA, anyone traveling 80mph+, regardless of the situation, is automatically considered to be driving recklessly. Ask me how I know.

Well hopefully they just threw it out in one of those "routine case cleanouts" you hear about. This was at least 4 years ago when I was coming back from Savannah, Georgia. I heard that 2 VA Troopers came into my old work asking about my whereabouts like a year after that, but I always found it very hard to believe they would waste their time driving that far for a stupid unpaid ticket and no-show in court.

Do tell.

I'll keep this in mind while traveling through VA
