whats up got a 2000 a4 2.8 from a mechanic that said the car needs a new engine
but i want to try and to fix this one
story of car; the car was in a light wreck and would not start after wreck that's how it got to the mechanic he could not figure it out and put it for sale and that's how i got it
i checked for spark and
started to check for compression but engine wont turn over anymore just a little back and forth
i started to tear it apart and found that the intake is full of leaves that got in to the engine and 3 valves are broken timing belt is still intact the car was covered in leaves when i picked it up i guess he had the filter of when he tried to diagnose the problem
i am assuming i just need to fix the broken valves and wonder if any one ever attempted to rebuild a 2.8 head or 2.7 i believe they are similar
