I'm looking to reduce the cabin noise in my 99.5 1.8t.. it has a MTM manifold, 3" catless downpipe, and a cusom made 3" exhaust system, which works fine, but is much louder than I'd like... so I'm thinking a resonator is in order..

Can anyone make a suggestion for me? I don't mind loosing a bit of performance for a quieter ride.

 

Where are you located? Interested in a 2.75" Miltek exhaust?

 

I'm in Buffalo, NY- Probably a little to rich for my blood at this point, I just need a resonator, and for sure I'll be good.

 

First order of business: a catalytic converter.

It doesn't really matter what resonator you buy. It's all a matter of personal preference. I'd go Magnaflow.

 

I've heard awesome things about Vibrant resonators and as far as cats are concerned just get Magnaflow hi-flow cats. They're completely straight through.
