Good deal?
Hey guys,
I am looking at a 2001 b5 1.8t with 89000 miles on it, its clean. Has all of the service records, and is in great shape. The only issue is the heater blows cold but that will be fixed prior to me buying it. The dealer wants 8995 for it. Is that a fair price? It is lazer red and completly stock. I am buy it this weekend if it is a fair price. Thanks in advance.

It does not have a warranty. I don't know what package it has how can i tell. It is unknown if the the timing belt has been changed. I am assuming that
I will have to change it. I have the vin can that tell me what package it has. It is a Quattro.

If you call a dealer the vin can tell you what package it has because its i there computers but other then that no. The winter package comes w/ heated seats, ski pouch in the rear armrest, and rubber floor mats. The sport package has different rims and is lower.

I would honestly do the timing belt and w/ it the water pump like right away. Our shop just finished repairing an A6 3.0 because the water pump bearing seized at 90k miles. 3 valves bent and 2 pistons were chipped from the impact of the valves. It ended up almost $5000 w/ 2 new pistons and the heads repaired.
