Option 5, which my independent Audi mechanic suggested:
Install the new control arms, then heat the side of the housing by the bolt up to red hot, then beat the hell out of it with the hammer & punch.
I will probably try this as a first option, as my ABS sensor seems to be stuck in the spindle, and I'm afraid that I might break it if I try to remove it from the spindle.

Done and done. Brunnhilde is at the Audi Dealer getting a 4-wheel alignment to complete this project.
Funny how nobody ever said anything about having to line up the indentation on the tie rod end with the spindle so that the pinch bolt can go all the way through. That one had me scratching my head for awhile!
