Default getting wheels

ok so im getting some wheels, now as i was looking around... i know i need 5x112 with a 35mm offset

now what about the rest... i want 18"s so is 18x8.5 too big? would a 40mm offset be bad?

and which would you guys think would look better?

Enkei Evo6
Enkei Cdr9
or
Enkei Rs7

i ask cause the ones i originally wanted are sold out.. and are out of my price range

The third ones aren't so bad. I don't really like any of them too much though... Why do you need 35mm offset? Do you know what offset is? 18x8.5 is pretty large. You might rub without spacers. Why not just buy a used set? Or keep your stock wheels and save up for coilovers. If I were you I would just keep the stocks on for now, at least until the end of winter, and lower the car first.

go 18x8 with 225/40/18 at most. that size fits our cars with no problem with like 1 or 2 mm to spare.

That's because the offset is 35mm duh... And I'm pretty sure they are 18x7.5 not 8.5..

And I'm selling this car in April and getting an s4.. The bolt pattern and offset are the same so I can just throw the new wheels on that car. And I'm probly getting lowering springs on this car and coilovers on the next one

im actually on the same hunt here, i want wheels but i think i should do suspension work first...whats a good set up? Its always a good idea to get the car lowered and then work from there, in my opinion.

no i dont think you do.. 35mm is the offset..

18x7.5 is the wheels height and width... and plus, the 8.5 was a completely different wheel from the 3 i listed.. those are all 18x7.5 with a 35mm offset

You never even said that those wheels are 18x7.5 35ET. You just asked if 18x8.5 is too big. You said you need 5x112 and 35mm offset. You need a 5x112 bolt pattern. Why do you say you need 35mm offset?

maybe he says 35mm offset because thats factory?
hmmm?
maybe?

i just took off 18x8 45mm offset with 225/40-18's on....

they actually fit better than the stock 35mm offset's.....ill post pics of the difference soon

but to answer your question....if those are the only wheels you like...go with the first ones....
or dont buy wheels, just wait till you get the s4, it might come with wheels....
and dont waste time on springs, if your not keeping the car, why would you spend money on it?
