Getting a new clutch. Some questions.
I bought my car a little over a month ago and the car has 166,000 miles on it. The stock clutch still grabs o.k. but i know its going to need a new one soon. Im just starting to learn a lot about cars by reading this forum and ive read that southbend sells the best clutch. I have three questions, 1. Should i still buy a southbend clutch even if my car is completely stock? 2. Will my car be harder to shift or will the clutch pedal be harder to push? 3. If i do get a Southbend clutch will my car need anything else to follow it up with?

if you going to stay stock a south bend is not really needed but it won't hurt anything it will probaly last longer and be able to handle lots of abuse.
Answer to #2
it depends on what clutch kit you get most of the southbend clutch kits are like stock feeling at the pedal according to what i have read about them.

it will be just like replacing it with a stock clutch but it you wanted to you can replace your flywheel with a single mass flywheel while you in the for faster reving but don't go too lite for a daily driver

Go with a stage 3 Southbend and a 20 LBS single mass flywheel for a stock-ish feel without too much gear noise, but a whole lot more holding power. Talk to Mike at Ringer Racing. Clutch Masters has some nice kits too, and it looks like the prices have come down.
