Gauge Problems... Total Frustration
#21
No, right now I'm a little under 200kms on this tank, and the gauge still reads empty, even after all the work I've done. So, the issue is still the same as before. The gauge goes to empty when the car is switched off.
Thanks for the diagrams. The next couple of days are going to be pretty busy what with Christmas and all, but hopefully I'll get the chance to check it out on my car in a day or so.

Read the below from a VW forum, it may be your issue and since you have a VAG, can't hurt to test it...

Marc, thanks for the email. I'll check all of that out as soon as I get the chance.
As for that link, I've already checked that out. In fact, I posted that same link in my first post on this thread. I tried adjusting the fuel gauge via VAG-COM, but it limits the adjustments. Unfortunately, with the adjustment maxed out it brought my fuel gauge to a little over 7/8 mark. I turned it back to default since. Perhaps I should try it now that my tank is reading empty. The gauge might not drop to 0 as quickly. Though, in the end I would still like to solve this issue completely.
I'll let you know what I find with the grounding points.
