G2 Supercharged 2.8 VS. 04 Acura TL
#21
Somebody...
the G2's M62 Roots Type Blower is small and inefficient, thats why it is only good for abou 12psi of boost max. The stock G2 set up will never reach 400hp for that reason. Look up scaudi.com...4Rings is using a Twin Screw Blower for more power and a 4 bolt main...if anyone is gonna make 400hp its gona be him.
AirGuard...
i must ask...you are in the AirGuard? Where are you stationed? Anyway, your on target with the info, allthough there seems to be good improvments on supercharged 2.8L's on scaudi.com. I watch the dam threads over there everyday with these.
onepoint8tee....
umm thats an interesting question > who would see peak power first? Well the G2's Decent boost kicks in at about 3500rpm. We would have to figure out when the V-Tech starts in the TL's powerband. Just from driving the car, i believe it comes in at about 4000-4500rpm? Just my guess.
I love the automotive world....

^ I am in the Air Guard stationed in Pittsburgh. I'll have to check out scaudi.com because I didn't know that site even existed until this tread started.
edit: There could be something to this blown 2.8 thing. I'll do some of my own research and see if I can't dig something up on forged parts. I was always under the impression you'd have to get them custom made. I would also suggest looking into a ProCharger blower. They're like a supercharger with the efficiency of a turbo.

ROFLMFAO
It'd be hilarious if the TL still beat you dude, and IF you were to build your 30v, might as well have bought a chipped 2.7, they **** all over Acura's, even Type S's

The TL weighs 3575lbs and it's got 270 hp and 238lbs torque. 0.076 is the power to weight ratio. For the 2.8 @ 297hp and 3318 lbs the power to weight ratio is 0.090. But if you do power to weight ratios at the wheels here is what you get. ~15% loss for fwd and ~25% loss for quattro, I think these values could be a few percent less but these are probably the max for each drivetrain. With these values, TL is 229 fwhp and 2.8 is 223awhp and power/weight is 0.064 for TL and 0.067 for the A4.
