Front Bumper Accident - Need Help
#21
im assuming if you dont accept the $500 they cant declare it salvage...i suggest you go that route if your planning on fixing it and selling it...a salvage title is harder to sell than without.
From what i see there....you will need a rad support, radiator, behind bumper skins and maybe the under belly plastic. You can also try this website to search your local junkies:

Thanks all for the insight. I am just following up to keep you guys informed of what happens and what options we have when this does occur, because I was a noob with all this. My insurance is AAA and they have been great. It was the issue with the collision place that declared the repair cost would exceed the value (which it might have).
I decided to keep my car + check from AAA of what the value of the vehicle was prior to accident (-) the money they would have made from the salvage yard (500).
Since collision, I had car towed to house. And began putting everything back together. Replaced the headlight, placed the bumper and side panel back on, however, the body still has dents and markings. Everything is fine except for the radiator, it drips coolant.
I decided to try to sell the vehicle and try to get myself a 2003-04 Audi and I am an Audi fan for life.
You can see the ad here with some after pictures (I am not trying to promote my car) just showing the whole process that I have gone through.

Thanks everyone and I will continue to follow-up!

Since the collision shop declared it a "total loss" and notified insurance company, insurance company contacts DMV stating vehicle is now is a salvage vehicle. Since I decided to take the check from insurance and keep the vehicle, insurance must contact DMV of the status. Also, myself or the owner of the vehicle must submit a form to DMV notifying the salvage status within 30 days.
