Default A friendly reminder...

To take a moment and give your 4 rings a good polish and shine, they probably need it!

Nice, I spent my evening claying the whole car. Got the paint all nice and smooth, but didn't have time to wax it tonight sadly.

Sadly, I know my car is in desperate need of a bath. She's been sitting there, waiting patiently for my return.

Anyway, not to jack this thread, but since it's about washing and polishing anyway, can anyone give me a good run down on this whole clay bar thing. I think I have the general idea, but a detailed description of how, why, and how often would be great!

Sharaf... start with the Newbie Guide sticky at the top, then go from there (i.e. Start New Thread). That's of course they are Audi related problems. If it one of "those" problems, see a shrink... haha. Welcome to the forums!

using clay bar will remove the contaminants that sticks to the paint of the car and making the car rough.once you use it and run your fingers on the part that you clay bared you will feel the difference it will become smooth. check you tube to know more about it. by the way i work at toyota as a detail specialist so i know all this crap about cleaning and detailing cars. in my opinion you can clay bar your car maybe once every two to three months.and before i forgot the purpose of putting wax on the car after you clay bared it is to protect it from those contaminants.
