forge 004 problem

Guess no one here cars to send me a pm
Yes the valve not being closed caused your ruchness and stalling issues. You really should of just installed a washer form a hardware store and been done with it. Also you should reinstall the green spring with a washer or 2 if it was louder (meaning it vented more air which is what a valve is suppose to do).
So recap:
add washer to secondary spring
reinstall green spring with washer
drive and be happy
BTW, Mike is smart, but not a very good people person. There use to be a good rep on here, but he hasnt been on in a long time now.

thanks for the info cincy.
i dont have the green spring, all i have is the yellow one that came in the valve (bought it used). i wonder if that is too stiff for the APR chip? its supposed to be 15-23 psi so i would think not since the chip boost should be around 17 or so right. but then i guess that means it only vents out a few psi. maybe i'll buy the green spring and experiment with washers on it.
mike also told me that they have stiffer secondary springs that i could try as well. i'll probably just ask for a replacement "normal" secondary spring and use a washer like you said. im angry at myself for stretching out the secondary spring since it can really mess with the spring rate and what not, and i wont feel comfortable with it in there even though it might not be a problem. blah blah blah i'll shut up now
my recap lol:
-im gonna get a new secondary spring and use a washer in it since im convinced i fucked up the one that i have now
-i'll get the green spring and experiment with it plus washers
