Default FMIC core & tubing size...

I know you guys are probably sick of me by now but i'm sorry i have another question... So i know that i should run a 3" exhaust and that i'll need a 3" MAF from a VR6 to run a GT28rs BT. So would i need a full 3" FMIC kit to go with? Cause all i've found is 2.5" core with 2.25" tubing. ( And yes i'm looking on eBay... I don't know of any other FMIC kitsout there under $1000...) Any help would be great!

2.25 all around or 2.25" to the ic and 2.5" to the TB will be good for a 28rs. Ebay ic's arent the best since they need to be huge to cool remotely as good as a nice core. These cores are why the nicer kits cost $800+. If you want a simple install, just get a nice smic. They will install np and you can get them from boostfactory.net, 034motorsport.com, and tyrolsport.com
