Default Filling gas problem...

Ok well i just bought my car this weekend and i'm having a problem filling the gas tank. It seems the vent is not working properly.

When i fill up the pump runs for about a gallon or so and then shuts off as if the tank were full. Well I know its empty. so i spent 5 minutes putting in about a half gallon at a time.

If i take the nozzle out there is a release of pressure and i've even had a small amount of fuel come out with the air. Anyone have else have this problem or have a way to repair or how to replace the vent valve?

Thanks, Kyle.
