k. look im gonna ask some questions here and i dont wanna here **** about it. im not a ricer. in fact im far from it. i have a 2.8 quattro and i kno there isnt **** i can do to it unless i supercharge it. so i just decided to get a good sleek lookin car to ride around in. and i need some answers about some cosmetics. thanks.

1.has anyone done the angel eyes conversion?...pics would be nice. how are they and were are the cheapest?

2. k this is gonna sound ricer but i dont give 2 ***** cuz if i had the 1.8t it be totally different thread....but is there lambo door kits for our cars? if so where?

3. and if i DO decide to drop a new engine in my audi. would a s4 engine fit in perfectly or what extra stuff would need to be done?

 

There are tons of pics of angel eyes online on audi's... just use a search engine. Prices change all the time... again... use a search engine.

I'm almost positive there are universal lambo kits that need a little modification... You just need to do some searching on your own.

The whole engine question i'm not going to touch. I have no idea.
Why wouldnt you just buy an s4 instead of swapping the engine? that's a TON of work...

 

1- angel eyes are for BMWs, i think they look shitty on a B5 audi. go to ebay and type in 'audi halo headlights' and you will get all the pictures you want.

2- FAIL. NO. BAD.

3- short answer- no. long answer- its been covered many times, use the search function. you need to do much more research before considering an engine swap. you didnt even list what engine you have now or which engine you want to put in it.

i ctually ment the audi LED Devil Eyes.

and right now i have just the 2.8 30v.

i cant just get an s4 because insurance is already diffucult to pay as it is.
and im keeping my car because ive maintained it very well and have put in a lot of money to it.
maybe a 1.8t swap would be much easier?

 

The easiest and by far most cost effective way to get a different motor is to buy a car with a different motor. You could do a 1.8T swap, 2.7TT swap from an S4, or a 2.7T swap from an A6, but it'd cost way more money than its worth. Even when you think you've got it all covered, 10 things you didn't think of will pop up. For example if you did a 1.8T swap, you'd have to worry about your transmission as well because the 2.8 tranny's have taller gears. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing or a problem, but you'd have to take it into account.

I know what you mean about going for a more visually pleasing look, my 12V has about as much potential for motor mods as a dodge caravan. I have seen people with the devil eyes, i'm almost positive that there are pics of them on this website. If you can't find them, try ebay or google, there should be plenty of pics there. A word of caution though, if you plan on going HID you wanna make sure to get headlight housings with glass lenses, the HID's will melt cheap plastic ones.

I'm not a fan of lambo doors but if you wanna go that route i'm sure you could get a kit to make it work

 

I saw a B6 A4 with them and just about threw up in my mouth. I love angel eyes but not on an Audi. If you want angel eyes go buy yourself a BMW.

 

Whats wrong with the motor you have now? It would probably cost you close to 3 - 4 grand for a complete swap done the right way. Instead of doing that.. can't you just put 2 grand into your motor and make it scream?

I dont know too much about those motors but i'm sure there's work that can be done to it.

 

a 2.7tt swap can cost $10k to do correctly when all is said and done. since he has a 30v 2.8 he can put on a supercharger for $3500 and get another ~70 whp. with that much money put into a 1.8t you could have 350whp.
