FCP's EMPI Axles??
I've searched and I've searched and have got mixed reviews. My intention is to replace my oe drivers side axle with one of the EMPI ones from FCP, and rebuild my original one. My question is, have any of you guys bought one recently and did you have any luck? Taking bets on how long it will last...
As long as it doesn't spontaneously self destruct under the mighty power of my 12v, that is...

I tell my customers now it's German made or no warranty.
BTW the outer c/v joints are available seperatly in GKN.
Another place to try is Raxles, America's premier supplier of OE quality CV Axles and CV joints - Raxles Inc.. I have spoke with those folks & they seem to know what they are doing but i have not used them yet.

Well I got the EMPI replacement from FCP yesterday and it looks alright...Has a solid axle instead of the oem hollow one, so I'm going to install it this weekend as a temporary fix. I'll be rebooting/re-cv'ing the oem one as a spare. Thanks for all your input.

I just wanted to update my own thread for other folks' benefit; I installed the EMPI unit on Saturday and have been enjoying the click free driving and in my case it fixed a noticeable 'clunk' when shifting which I attributed to motor mounts. No vibration at highway speeds (75MpH). We'll see about longevity.
