Fatory Stereo Amp Out put
Hello i have a 1999 audi quattro a4 1.8t and was wondering what the factory out put of the amp is? Im about to upgrade the speakers in the car i dont know if its a bose system when i purchased the car the aftermarket unit in it was dead. I replaced it and got the correct wiring harness to no cut install the new stereo after install i found out the front two lower speakers where blown i got some walmart cheapes to throw in there but they are being fed 50 watts a peace and rated for 25 or 35 cant remember. But are starting to show low quality the rear speaker wires are not connected from the back of the new head unit rear speacker wires but through the rca cables. This makes me question wether the fronts are getting all 200 watts the head unit makes becouse im not sure how it devides power i assume 50 x 4 but im not a big stereo guy. i will also be upgrading the rear when i do this and was wonder what size speakers to run before i make my purchase also should i buy speakers with a higher watt ratting then the system can supply or equall i dont wanna under power the speakers if i go to big and i dont wanna trash to dainty of a speaker i listen to pretty loud low bass music.
-thank you.

the stock amp isn't gonna be able to support any good loud low bass music. if you want good quality, go for an aftermarket multi-channel amp with a separate amp for a woofer in the trunk.
i believe the factory amp is a 140watt unit. trust me, it won't get anywhere close to good quality
