exterior trim ?

Default exterior trim ?

my 99 b5 a4 2.8 door trim needed to be replaced i got the parts and go to install them after school and cant get them on cause theres the know on the end that is to big for the threaded part on the trim piece how do u properly install the trim on the car please help

please anyone have a clue so i dont have to take it to my local audi dealer and have it done cause it seems like a simple job just cant figure it out

I don’t really understand your question specifically. I just know you’re having trouble installing your door trim. I think you’re talking about the lower black plastic/rubber trim. I changed mine 2 weeks ago. The first thing you have to do is remove a small screw located on the inside of the door. There is one screw per door molding/trim. The screw is on the lower corner closest to the front of the car. It can only be unscrewed from the inside. After removing this screw, you can slide the trimoff. If you are looking at the trim, it will slide toward the back of the car. Replace with the new trim the same way, slide on and then install screw. PM me if you have any questions man. I wish I had pics for you but I’m at work. It’s an easy procedure though.
