I got a post-cat setup off an 02 S4 a few months ago on my 2.8, I'm pretty sure its 2.5" piping and the mufflers are made by Brüllen. Its very close to the magnaflow 14815 sound at idle but is throatier through the powerband and the drone is very bearable. Then again, that could just be because I listen to heavy bass metal music and the muffler harmonizes with the music a lot of the time so maybe that's why its bearable to me haha.

But really though, it has no rice sound to it, looks good on the car and definitely flows a lot easier than the stock piping/mufflers. I haven't noticed any adverse affects on the back pressure from the slightly larger piping nor set off any car alarms in parking garages so I'm very satisfied with it. One of these days I'll get around to getting some sound clips for you all to check out

OP: if you could get your hands on a setup like this, I'd go for it, I got mine for dirt cheap so maybe you could luck out too.

You can get a full custom stainless exhaust for way under $1000. Buying kits is a dumb idea, IMO, because they're always 2-3x the price.

And Magnaflow for the win!
