Yup, I got in on the group buy but haven't been able to even push my car past half throttle b/c it keeps on stuttering since the ECU is still adapting to the throttle body. But I also do remember it being like this even before I got the ECU as well.

Yeah anytime someone says "studder" that suggests a misfire. Is your cel flashing? Get it scanned for faults. Studdering isn't part of the adaptation. You might get bouncy idle during the first few drive cycles, but other than that, there arent any adaptation traits that you'd really notice.

Well, I buy cars purely for fun and then sell them when I'm tired of them, almost always at a profit. Without a doubt, the STI was a fabulous car. Fit and finish was better than an Evo's and it handled amazingly and had a lot more power than the standard WRX (which I also owned prior to the STI). I sure do miss the STI and bought this Audi just so I can take it skiing since a B5 A4 is really the best inexpensive well performing AWD car out there. Also, with what I paid for the A4, I can't imagine taking a hit on depreciation, whereas for the STI, the value was dropping so it was time to sell. So in essence, economics.

Thanks for the advice Chaos92287 and onepoint8tee. Nope, CEL isn't flashing. I don't need to do anything to do a throttle body adaptation right? I just plugged in the new Speedtuning ECU and drove as is. I thought that it would adapt automatically?

Could it be that my stock DV just can't hold the boost? It seems like boost cutoff or something. It only studders when I floor the throttle. From 60-80MPH, it moves with good power w/o stuttering but at any other speed/gear, it studders.

Um...Is your car bucking? When your turbo kicks in does it violently jerk? If so you have a bad map chip in your ecu. That is the part of your ecu that gets flashed. Call him and send it back and tell him to redelete and program. Oh, unless you are using an MBC?

$17.5. It had 84K miles on it and the remainder of a 100k extended factory warranty. I think that's still about the going rate for them. I think by next year, you could get one for $14-15k. I'm already seeing them at $16K with similar mileage.

I forget again. It's hard to keep all the people who were in on the gb straight. Did you upgrade your DV?
